Local to Kelowna for many years, Living Spaces serves Okanagan Residences, Ski Resort Chalets & Vacation Homes.

I am blessed to live in a hub of vineyards & spectacular valley views. The Okanagan has become an International Vacation Destination with attractions that make it very appealing.

By far surpassing the original lakeside resorts, watersports, Real Estate & orchards, the Okanagan is more famous than ever with Ski Resorts, Golf Courses, Vineyards & Wines. Real Estate in this spectacular scenery is well... through the roof!

INTERIOR DESIGN

Visualizing dreams of expertly decorated rooms were sugar-plums dancing in my head at age eleven. I grew up thinking we can't really do something ... like fun... for a living! Who would pay you? Well truth to tell, as I look back I have been doing something creative most of the time!

20 years ago I decided I needed to balance those youthful fluff-fy creative dreams with substance.

So I studied in a concentrated 2 year program, the old fashioned way before auto-cad. I got my head straight! Drafting, Elevation, & Rendering are certainly more than decorating. While it isn't rocket science, the elements of design must balance & complement one another. User-friendly functional logistics & scale have to balance design, form, lighting & colour arrangements.

Business

Balancing creativity with logic is essential to running a business. Ongoing studies in marketing & business hone my weak spots & have given me the head start & necessary skills required to run my own ventures. I have run retail, art, & decor businesses.

Art

Design studies led me right into art. The Elements of Design are universal, working the same way in all applications. Raku art was my specialty, sold in BC & Alberta fine art galleries. My studio was the site also of many fun classes & friends I taught. I paint a little, but wish to do more.

Sales

Someone once told me that if you can sell you can do anything. That's fairly close to accurate I think. Part of my background in interiors was in consultation & sales of home furnishings. It was invaluable experience that taught me alot. From it I defined for myself the business/client work code - find what it is people want & get it for them. Working in the business taught me how to run a business.

I love my work in interior design & with people. We all create in our own ways. You are perhaps brilliant with business solutions. Baking cookies or getting your hands in the earth are wonderful creative nurturing things to do. We all have our talents, each in different ways.

I'm certainly glad my bookeeper & accountant have the talents they do, because I'm a decorator and stager & not very good at what they do! I have my talents to help you design the Living Spaces you dream of. This is how we fit together!

Experience

I have worked in various aspects of art & interiors for 20 years, well acquainted with interior elements & furnishings. Staged properties I worked on have sold on as little as 1 day, which had previously sat unsold.

Decorating & Staging Interiors

Understanding the human need for home & harmony drives me to accurately estimate the needs of clients. I enjoy working with your favorite things, because the things you love will define the space as yours.

Well acquainted with all aspects of interiors I prefer when possible to work from a scaled floor plan to be certain of well-planned space fitting all necessary room requirements. Window coverings, colour scheme, arrangement, furniture purchase & placement follow the first important steps of space, scale, & plan.

The best interests of my client are of highest importance & priority. I work diligently on every detail to get it right for you.
